Lam VincentDr. Vincent Lam was born in London, Ontario, and grew up in Ottawa. He is an emergency physician who also does international air evacuation work and expedition medicine on Arctic and Antarctic ships. His debut work of fiction, Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures was the first short story collection to win the prestigious Giller Prize (2006), and has sold in numerous territories around the world. Vincent Lam is also the co-author ofThe Flu Pandemic and You: A Canadian Guide, (Doubleday Canada, 2006). The Headmaster’s Wager (Doubleday Canada, Crown US, Fourth Estate, UK) is his first novel.
