Todd Babiak is an award-winning author, as well as a journalist and a screenwriter. His first novel, Choke Hold, won the Henry Kreisel Award for best first book and was a finalist for the Rogers Writers Trust Fiction Prize. His second novel, The Garneau Block, was long-listed for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, won the City of Edmonton Book Award, was short-listed for the Alberta Literary Awards, and was a regional finalist for Canada Reads. His novel Toby: A Man was shortlisted for the Stephen Leacock Medal for humour and won the Alberta Book Award for Best Novel. Todd Babiak is co-founder of Story Engine, a consulting company based in Edmonton and Vancouver.
