Lennox MattMatt Lennox is a Major in the Canadian Forces Army Reserves. He was stationed in Kandahar between 2008 and 2009, where he wrote many of the stories in his first collection, Men of Salt, Men of Earth (Oberon, 2009). The collection was shortlisted for the 2010 ReLit award, and the title story was published in Best Canadian Stories in 2006. His first novel, The Carpenter, a redemption tale combining elements of southern Gothic and classic noir, was published by HarperCollins Canada in 2012, and  in 2014 in France by Albin Michel to rave reviews heralding him as the new Dennis Lehane. His latest novel, Knucklehead, was published in May 2015. Matt also works as a carpenter and is an amateur boxer. He has a degree in film and an MFA in creative writing from Guelph Humber.
