Katherine Laidlaw is a National Magazine Award-winning feature writer and magazine journalist based in Toronto. She writes regularly for Toronto Life, and writes the Survival Skills column for Hazlitt. Her stories have appeared in The Walrus, Wired, Marie Claire, The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine and elsewhere. She has pieces forthcoming in Outside, BuzzFeed and Pacific Standard. Her work has been anthologized in Best Canadian Sportswriting and Best Canadian Essays. She is a former senior editor of The Walrus, and began her career reporting from the Canadian Arctic. Most often, she writes on nature, crime and health. She will say yes to any adventure.
