Emily Southwood is a freelance journalist who has been featured in Canadian newspapers, including the Globe and Mail and the Montreal Mirror. After receiving accolades for her poetry and short fiction from The Writer’s Union of Canada, Emily continued her education at the University of British Columbia, where she earned an MFA in creative non-fiction. After her husband worked alongside porn stars on the Gemini nominated TV series Webdreams, Emily spent years researching and writing about the porn industry. As a regular “love and sex” columnist for Betty Confidential (a Forbes rated top 100 women’s website), her articles on the topic of porn have been among their most viewed ever. Her posts have been syndicated through numerous popular women’s websites.
