Claudia Dey’s writing has appeared on the newyorker.com, in The Believer Magazine, and Confidence, or the Appearance of Confidence: The Best of The Believer Music Interviews, The Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Life, and Flare. Her first novel, Stunt (Coach House Books), was shortlisted for the Amazon First Novel Award, and was a Globe and Mail and Quill & Quire Book of the Year. Her plays have been produced internationally, translated into French and German, and nominated for the Governor General’s Award and Trillium Book Award.
Claudia starred in C&Y Cinema’s independent films, The Oxbow Cure, and Amy George (TIFF, Brooklyn International Film Festival, Mongrel Media.)
Claudia is also the co-founder and co-designer of Horses Atelier. Profiled in Vogue, featured in HBO’s Girls, worn by Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger, and Neko Case, Horses Atelier is carried in select boutiques and department stores throughout North America and Japan.
Claudia lives in Toronto with her musician husband, and two sons.
